Marazzi Advice

Yellow: bright, extrovert and dynamic. A yellow ceramic or porcelain stoneware floor can be very striking if it is a bright yellow, but choosing a paler shade – also based on the lighting of the room – produces a completely different result. Therefore, yellow tiles are suitable for any room of the house – including for the bedroom – and not only for the bathroom and living area, where for example they can liven up the kitchen.

The Marazzi catalogue offers various ideas for furnishing a house or a public space with yellow tiles of all sizes, from small, to medium and large. Yellow comes in warmer shades, closer to orange: ochre, curry, mustard and amber. Softer shades of yellow are also present in the terracotta-effect stoneware tiles collections: this material matches well with classic or rustic style, but proves to be a very refined alternative even in contemporary settings. The more delicate shades of the yellow tiles that border on warm whites and beiges are less tidy and showy.

The yellow tiles not only feature solid colours and flat surfaces: the Marazzi collections also combine yellow with other colours on decorated tiles, such as porcelain stoneware cement tiles. Yellow is also used for the mosaic and the tiles with striped fabric-like texture or with three-dimensional effects, which lend movement to the walls. In its many shades, light/dark and warm/cold, yellow is combined with different colours that match or contrast: with black, white, grey; with pastel shades (pink, orange, green, blue, lilac) and with dark colours (orange, green, blue, purple).
