White Bathroom & Kitchen Tiles

White ceramic or porcelain stoneware tiles are a simple and elegant covering that lends light, cleanliness and lightness to indoor and outdoor environments. White diffuses light and expands spaces: for example, a glossy or matt white floor optically enlarges any small room.

There is no such thing as a single “white”. Instead, there are tiles with different shades of white: from pure white to ice, talcum powder, ivory, milk and vanilla... All these shades of white tiles belong to two distinct groups: warm whites and cold whites. The former contain an imperceptible amount of yellow, orange or red; the latter contain blue, green or grey. In a room, the impact of a white porcelain or ceramic tile floor, as well as of white tiles used to cover walls, depends on a number of factors that must be balanced. These range from the characteristics of the space (dimensions, height, lighting) to the appearance of the tiles: the type of white, the presence of decorative or three-dimensional patterns; the finish, which can be glossy, matt or irregular, as in the case of stoneware tiles with a wood or stone effect. Furthermore, the impact of white tiles depends on the colour combination chosen between the floor and the walls (tone-on-tone, harmonious, contrasting) and the installation layout of the tiles themselves.
