Ristorante Carlo e Camilla in Duomo

Milan (MI), Italy

Michelin-starred chef Carlo Cracco has returned to his roots with his third establishment in Milan, the new Carlo e Camilla in Duomo restaurant-bistrot, opened in historic premises in Via Victor Hugo 4, which have been given a new lease of life, enlarged and designed to remain open all day. The renovation, by interior designer Giò Tirotto from Piacenza, has given an elegant atmosphere to the establishment, which is decorated with dark tones, from the walls embellished with large mirrors, chandeliers and works by a Rimini street artist to the modern furnishings that contrast with the minimalist mise en place with white porcelain and a large social table, echoing that of Carlo and Camilla in Segheria.

The change is apparent right from the entrance, on the ground floor where the cocktail bar is located. A staircase leads to the -2 floor where the restaurants’ various rooms are located, without a direct light source, all with a common denominator: the colour black. To accentuate the metropolitan style and for a seamless colour effect, the designer opted for large Marazzi slabs from the Grande Metal Look collection for the floor in the Iron Dark colour with a special iridescent effect, in the custom 160x160 cm size, obtained by cutting 160x320 cm slabs, which offer particularly high performance in terms of wear and low maintenance.
