Hotel Osijek

Standing on the banks of the River Drava and just a few minutes from the historic centre of the provincial capital of the same name in northern Croatia, Hotel Osijek offers elegant accommodation with modern design. The Hotel’s superb location, with a view over the city on one side and over the river and the quiet Baranja Plain on the other, enables its guests to explore the surrounding area, which has a rich, variegated cultural and natural heritage.

The renovation project by architect Zoran Zidarić, commissioned by the owner to create a more sophisticated internal ambience with meticulously styled details, embraced most of the Hotel’s communal areas as well as all the bathrooms, from the residential units to the suites.

The predominant use of marble-effect porcelain stoneware reflected this wish for refinement.
The walls of the area around the reception desk are defined by Grande Marble Look very large slabs in Grigio Carnico version, which combine the beauty of marble with the outstanding technical performances of Marazzi stoneware and the environment-friendly qualities of the entire production cycle, certified in accordance with the top international standards.

The light hues, dense in shade variations, of Grigio Carnico, which characterises the foyer, give way to a darker, deeper Marble Look Saint Laurent together with an elegant, exquisite Marble Look Golden White in the coverings of the bathrooms of the Hotel’s many rooms. Both these versions were selected from the Allmarble porcelain stoneware collection, which transforms the beauty of the rarest, most classical types of marble into a contemporary, sophisticated design look. The golden veining of these two marble-effect versions combines perfectly with the light-coloured wood of the rooms’ furnishings.

A different design approach was adopted for the wellness area: here the search for excellent technical properties, without sacrificing Hotel Osijek’s immaculate style, led to the use of porcelain stoneware from the Plaza collection, in White shade and 60x120 cm size. Featuring the Puro antibacterial technology, which guarantees surfaces the highest degree of hygiene and protection, and the state-of-the-art StepWise anti-slip finish, Plaza is the ideal solution for facilities of this kind and is an environment-friendly choice as it is manufactured with 40% recycled material.
