Hotel and catering, hospitality and leisureIn the heart of Tuscany, the contemporary renovation of a C12th bishop’s residence in a project by Pierattelli Architetture
The Boutique Hotel Pieve Aldina at Radda in Chianti, created to a project by Pierattelli Architetture, aims to conserve its location’s irresistible historic appeal by revealing its authentic spirit and celebrating its true character. The boutique hotel is the outcome of the restoration of a former bishop’s residence consisting of three buildings dating from the C12th, which focused on enabling visitors to fully appreciate the identify of this antique context.
Part of the prestige French Les Domaines de Fontenille group, the elegant hotel complex stands next to the lovely medieval village of Radda in Chianti and captures the unique atmosphere of this beautiful, historic region.
Amongst the key products selected to highlight Boutique Hotel Pieve Aldina’s exquisite authenticity was Crogiolo Lume: these small porcelain stoneware tiles, which create all the mystique of hand-made ceramics, were chosen in White colour for the bathroom coverings. The use of this material underlines the project’s attention to details and the timeless elegance central to its aesthetic. The Lume super-glossy tiles are skilfully combined with the building’s original terracotta in an attractive contrast between tradition and modernity.
The end result is a location of sophisticated beauty, where the traditional architectural features blend with contemporary detail to create a unique, unforgettable experience for Boutique Hotel Pieve Aldina’s guests.
