SushiC

Bari (BA), Italy

Inspired by Japanese design, SushiC in Bari is a sushi and cocktail bar with a sophisticated, elegant style created by architect Stefano Carlone and designer Vincenzo Berlingerio of K1 artStudio.

The space – covering almost 600 square metres – was not simply conceived as a restaurant, but as a multifunctional space with selfie areas, drinks areas, circular sofas and eye-catching optical zones. The sushi preparation area and large wine cellar are integral parts of the premises, where everything is on view and ready to be captured in a snapshot.

Lavish materials, refined colours and luxurious details distinguish the various areas, such as the imposing marble-effect porcelain stoneware triangle flooring in the large central hall, created with a geometric triangular-effect installation. Two different collections, both inspired by marble, were used for the flooring: Allmarble in the Verde Aver version, featuring an exquisite vein pattern in green tones, which contrasts with marble-effect stoneware in shades of ivory.

More intimate spaces and a cleaner, more formal design characterise the private room at SushiC, all rendered in shades of black and grey. Cementum porcelain stoneware was chosen for this room in the Indigo 75x75 cm version, which revives the concrete effect with a contemporary and decorative style suitable for high-traffic spaces: the private room resembles a monochrome box with an enveloping feel, separate from the rest of the venue and dedicated to private events and parties.
