The use of soft textures, natural colors, and rounded shapes are the main elements of the renovation of Maison Irigny with a tendency to choose materials with a hand-made appearance

The renovation of Maison Irigny, curated by the studio BRISON + VOISIN Architectures, represents a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. The client desired an environment characterized by soft textures and natural colors, with a preference for shades of beige and terracotta.

The project stands out for the use of rounded shapes, which give a sense of fluidity to the spaces. The kitchen, in particular, was covered with porcelain stoneware bricks Crogiolo Confetto Mattone and with the Struttura Savoiardo 3D, inspired by the historic Canne d’Organo collection designed by Nino Caruso in the early 70s.
A collection that rediscovers the charm of authentic ceramics with a hand-made flavor and a semi-matte surface, “confettata” and soft to the touch. These materials were chosen for their texture, shape, and color, which captivated the client.

In the backsplash behind the cooking area, the background in the 5x15 cm format was used, while the 3D tiles were applied in less exposed areas. This combination creates a dynamic and interesting visual effect, while maintaining the functionality and practicality needed in a kitchen.
