Loft privato

Gaggiano (MI), Italy

Designers

Giancarlo Clementi

An industrial space transformed into a private home, this loft in Gaggiano designed by architect Giancarlo Clementi has maintained its original identity, including in the breadth of the building’s spaces and large windows. The alternation of contrasting colours and materials is one of the main features the architect prioritised for the renovation of the loft, which is also emphasised by the extensive use of porcelain stoneware, all by Marazzi, used with stone and wood effects for all the interiors. On the ground floor, in the large, elegant open-plan living area, the large 75x150 size from the Mystone Ardesia collection has been chosen for the floor and one wall, reproducing the colour and texture of sedimentary slate. The ash-effect Treverkhome collection, in the alternately laid 15x120 cm and 20x120 cm sizes, was selected for the flooring on the upper floor and, for the bathrooms, the Mystone range was laid in the Pietra di Vals version for the master bathroom and Gris Fleury for the guest bathroom.
