Hotel Seehof

Bressanone (BZ) Italy

The Hotel Seehof is at Naz-Sciaves, near Bressanone, on a plateau overlooking the “Flötscher Weiher” lake. The hotel renovation project, undertaken by the Noa architecture firm in 2017, involved the demolition and reconstruction of part of the building, with the design of 16 additional suites and a new spa. In the design of the renovation works, great importance was given to the relationship between the architecture and the surrounding environment: indoors and outdoors establish a dialogue in a seamless whole, in a complex conceived to provide an immerse experience in nature. When designing the floor of the restaurant and spa (sauna and massage room), the architects chose Clays Cotton porcelain stoneware in various sizes (60x60, 75x75, 30x120, 7x28 cm) and in the 21x18.2 cm hexagon. Clays combines the looks of concrete and terracotta, with fascinating shade variations on the surface, ideal for designing interiors with a contemporary character. The swimming-pool area, on the other hand, was finished with stone-effect stoneware from the Monolith collection, in White. Ph Alex Filz
