An old 1950s factory in the heart of Naples' Ottaviano district is transformed into a butcher's shop and sandwich bar thanks to the passion and determination of the Bifulco family, butchers for 4 generations. The Bifulco Exclusive project by architect Michele Piccolo is a huge complex on two levels of 300 m2 each, in addition to a rooftop terrace above. The ground floor houses the butcher's store, designed with all the connotations of a jewellery outlet and clearly inspired by the meat boutiques found in northern Europe, with a gourmet sandwich bar above it on the first floor. The flooring chosen for the ground floor is the Evolution Marble collection by Marazzi, its marble-effect a hymn to the old butchers' shops of the past where this material was a firm favourite, but with all the technical characteristics and outstanding performances of porcelain stoneware. The material, chosen in the Nero Marquinia and Calacatta variants, was custom-cut to produce nineteen basic elements, assembled to create a geometric pattern to make the surface unique and truly distinctive. The metal-look Marazzi Grande Metal Look Iron Dark slimline thickness large slabs were an excellent choice for the sandwich bar on the upper floor. Thanks to its large 160x320 cm size and its thickness of just 6 mm, this product was successfully combined with inserts of natural material to form a large, seamless carpet with a metal texture. The metallic glints and decorated inserts blend attractively to bring warmth to the interior, giving a friendly, welcoming mood to the industrial design scheme.
