The colours of Madrid give a multinational’s work spaces a warm feel thanks to oak-effect stoneware

One of the best-known international online retail companies has recently expanded and renovated its Madrid headquarters, entrusting this task to the designers of the IA Interior Architects team.

A project that takes its main inspiration from the city’s murals, reproducing them on the interior walls of common areas and offices. Since the work involved an extension, the designers wished to respect the colour scheme of the existing interior, bringing the city and its colours into the work environment. The rooms are therefore very bright and colourful, in line with the company’s philosophy and interior design trends.

The flooring in the kitchen and coffee area has a warm feel thanks to Marazzi’s oak-effect stoneware, featuring the Treverkview collection in a honey colour. The rectified 20×120 cm size is ideal for creating surfaces with barely visible joints and a natural, welcoming effect. The vein patterns of the original wood give the floor a very warm effect, contrasting with the floor coverings in the other areas of the office and creating a stylish modern mix & match.

Wood-effect stoneware, usually used in residential environments thus helps to crate intimate, welcoming environments: today, many large multinationals furnish their offices so that employees feel at home during working hours. The goal, in this case, is perfectly achieved: the oak effect creates stylistic continuity with the other wooden furniture and accessories, making the offices and common areas informal and lively.
