A dialogue between art, design and Milanese culture

From 1 to 5 March “The Green & Blue Room”, designed by ACPV ARCHITECTS for Marazzi, is transformed into a Wunderkammer with the works of Tadini and Squatriti.

To mark Milano MuseoCity from 1 to 5 March, Marazzi’s Milan showroom on Via Borgogna hosts the works of two important cultural institutions belonging to the Milanese MuseoCity network: Casa Museo Spazio Tadini and Archivio Fausta Squatriti.

This highly unusual Cabinet des Curiosités, re-created within Marazzi’s charming tearoom – an intimate, welcoming interior with elegant lines and a delicate colour scheme, designed by ACPV Architects – is dedicated to the period from the ‘60s onward and establishes an intriguing dialogue between the worlds of art and design. Here, visitors can discover art books, small sculptures and multiples by major artists including Getulio Alviani, Mercedes Pardo, Man Ray, Fausta Squatriti, Joe Tylson and many others, interspersed with the splendid sculptures of Emilio Tadini. These very unusual, sophisticated works come from the output and collection of the two master artists Emilio Tadini and Squatriti and also from the latter’s career as an art publisher.

Just as in its showroom Marazzi creates a dialogue between materials and colours, traditional ceramics and high-tech stoneware, the two artists offer an overview of the creative universe of the city of Milan, which since the ‘60s has been a melting-pot for intellectuals, artists, poets, writers and philosophers, artistic thought and industrial production.
