Private villa

Villa Privata Toscana

The villa designed by Storm Studio Architecture stands in a typically Tuscan country landscape of great environmental value, which enjoys heritage protection. The villa lies low to the ground and features ample use of rooftop terraces. The slope of the hillside and the differences in level are compensated using walls and earth platforms dressed with stone, which recall the drystone walls typical of the area’s rural architecture.

The outdoor areas are finished to a high standard and styled with the aid of the materials used: the Mystone Pietra Italia20 Beige porcelain stoneware collection (size 40x120 cm) is installed on the raised paving system on most of the terraced areas, while the Treverkdear20 wood look in Brown colour (size 20x120 cm) gives a separate identity to the doorways and the areas immediately around the house.

Used in the 2 cm thickness, the porcelain stoneware of the outdoor raised paving enabled the creation of perfectly level surfaces even across large areas, as well as uniformity of appearance and colour, while also overcoming difficulties such as drainage of surface water underneath the paving itself.
