Private Home

Nestled in the rolling Tuscan hills, perfectly integrated into the surrounding landscape, stands a villa designed by the Arezzo-based Storm Studio Architecture firm. Originally an unfinished building dating back to the 1980s, it has undergone a contemporary renovation that respects the local architectural tradition, materials and colours.
The project, a listed building, has a horizontal layout, expanding the original volume outwards and redefining the terraces and in particular the space beside the swimming pool with special attention to the landscape and its dialogue with the environment through geometric features and the choice of materials. For the outdoor spaces, terraces, threshold areas and entrances, the designers chose porcelain stoneware slabs from Marazzi’s Beige stone-effect Mystone Pietra Italia20 collection in the 40x120 cm size and the Brown wood-effect Treverkdear20 collection in the 20x120 cm size, both laid on a floating floor.
