The GAP Studio architecture firm designed this splendid attic apartment in the loft of an 18th-century castle, in the beautiful landscape of the Monferrato district. As part of the renovation –- soon to transform the entire complex into a luxurious hospitality complex – the antique brick walls and the massive roof beams were conserved. On the floor, the large stoneware slabs of Grand Carpet (120x240 cm, thickness 6 mm), designed by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel for Marazzi, create an astonishing visual effect. “An Indian carpet with Indian tattoos, design on an architectural scale” that can warm or cool an interior thanks to the finishes used, Sand or Smoke.
