Baia del Silenzio

The transformation of this residence, designed by LAVICA Studio, originates from a measured design gesture, aimed at rewriting the identity of the house without betraying its original essence. The intervention unfolds as a continuous narrative in which the gaze is drawn towards the sea, accompanied by natural light that flows freely through the spaces and reflects across the surfaces, producing a delicate interplay of chiaroscuro. The architecture opens outwards through a sequence of broad and generous arches, which become true theatrical backdrops capable of capturing the landscape and transforming it into a constant presence within the project.

It is precisely within these arches that the material becomes protagonist thanks to the use of Crogiolo Lume glazed bricks in the Blue shade. The ceramic strips cover the curved surfaces creating a vibrant effect, where the depth of colour and the brilliance of the glaze dialogue with the infinity pool water and the blue of the sea. The result is a visual continuum in which architecture and landscape merge, amplifying the perception of space and strengthening the dialogue with the surrounding environment. The artisanal character of the collection, with its subtle chromatic variations and textured surface, contributes to making each surface unique, imparting a sense of authenticity and warmth.

Inside, the same language continues coherently, finding in the bathroom a moment of particular expressive intensity. Here too, Crogiolo Lume Blue defines the surfaces with a theatrical yet balanced presence, capable of enhancing the light and creating depth. The cladding interacts with essential elements and clean lines, as in the case of the washbasin wall framed by the arch, where the blue reflects and amplifies, transforming the space into an immersive yet intimate environment. The choice of colour and texture contributes to constructing a sophisticated atmosphere, where design interweaves with subtle references to the Mediterranean tradition.

In this project, ceramics become a true narrative instrument, capable of translating into material the dialogue between architecture and context.
