The project, involving an area of buildings of 15000 m2, is located in one of Milan’s redeveloped derelict areas, in the heart of the Navigli district. Two large and one smaller glass bubbles, asymmetrically arranged, form transparent volumes designed to add value to the urban landscape without being too invasive. A structure of light and transparency, which is actually “see-through”. The interiors of the buildings feature sloping ceilings which give the people on the lower floors the impression that they are in an attic. The Marazzi Engineering floating floor adapted to the buildings’ architectural structure with great flexibility, while the reflective properties of the Marazzi Tecnica SistemA crystallised stoneware used as finishing material emphasise the streams of light flowing through the structure’s large glazed areas.
