The “Your Marazzi Space: Win a Trip to New York” competition, and a trip to the Big Apple, were won by the “Marazzi ... è di casa!” [“Marazzi is at Home”] project by Marta Morlacchi. The star of the winning project - the renovation of a 140 m2 apartment - was Rovere colour Marazzi Treverkhome wood-look stoneware, used in the living and kitchen area with an original, unusual herringbone laying pattern in the collection’s three large sizes.
The project was completed by the use of large-size, slim thickness Marazzi Concreta tiles, in Bianco, as bathroom wall covering. The second prize, a weekend in Paris, was won by the ‘Casa Lemizzone’ project by Ingrid Fontanili. The architect used Marazzi Treverkhome stoneware in the three different sizes for the outdoor paving, laid to run seamlessly into the indoor floor coverings, making the outdoor area a genuine expansion of the home’s interiors. The project also featured Marazzi Concreta wall tiles in the master bathroom: the lightweight silk-look slabs and the exquisite mosaics, made with dots with different surface finishes, create an elegant, refined design scheme. A trip to Hamburg was the prize for the third-ranked project, “Un bagno in mansarda” [“A Bathroom in the Attic”] by Loredana Giavina. An Ottanio colour bathroom, created with the extra-glossy Marazzi Color Up large-size wall tiles. This bright, fresh room is given distinction by the inclusion of mosaics in the shower area and decorated with the collection’s Bolli decorative tile.
