Established by French journal MUUUZ in 2013, every year the MIAW (Muuuz International Awards) select the most distinctive products in the field of architecture, interior design and decoration.
The Muuuz editorial committee has chosen Slow and Crogiolo ArtCraft amongst the winners at the latest edition of the MIAW Design Awards, in the ‘Layout, materials and coverings’ category. The two porcelain stoneware collections offer a fresh compositional language with both small and large sizes and a ‘hand-made’ appeal.
The small-size Crogiolo ArtCraft tiles aim to revive the traditions and texture of terracotta with a wide variety of sizes and decors, all in stoneware, that underline Marazzi’s cutting-edge development of industrial craftsmanship.
The Slow porcelain stoneware collection is also inspired by traditional terracotta but offers a contemporary rereading of the inspiration material, simulating hand-pressed clay, deliberately irregular and incorporating minor flaws.
With these two terracotta-effect collections, this much-loved material becomes a new language for the design of warm, welcoming interiors.
The awards ceremony was held recently in Paris at the hotel InterContinental Paris – Le Grand.
