Rigenera: from 14 September to 18 October the Festival of Contemporary Architecture in Reggio Emilia
reading time: 2 minutes

From 14 September the city in Emilia will host a series of conventions, conferences, workshops and shows dedicated to the world of architecture
From 14 September to 18 October 2020 Reggio Emilia will be hosting Rigenera, the first edition of the Contemporary Architecture Festival which aims to “envisage the city of tomorrow, a place that is denser, more versatile, more attractive, more creative, and more circular for people”.
Conceived by the Reggio Emilia Order of Architects, Urban Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators, the event will be held in thirteen different venues in the Emilian town – piazzas, parks and private buildings – which have become paragons of urban regeneration. The initiative, whose underlying themes are Understand, Spread, Integrate and Communicate, consists of a programme of 30 events, including conventions, conferences, walks, workshops and shows, in which it will be possible to participate in person or remotely via internet.
As part of Rigenera Marazzi will be promoting a cycle of three seminars on contemporary architecture, organised with ProViaggi Architettura, which will discuss, both live and via web, the theme of tomorrow’s city.
The Reggio Emilia Order of Architects will award two CPD credits for participating in each meeting.
The seminar on 17 September, held both live and via webinar from 5 to 7 p.m., will feature the Italian practice Bergmeisterwolf. The meeting will take place at Caffè Letterario Binario 49 in Reggio Emilia.
This will be followed by the webinar on 24 September, again from 5 to 7 p.m., with Danish studio EFFEKT, and the webinar of 1 October with Colombian architect Giancarlo Mazzanti.
