Mystone Pietra di Vals is the stone-effect stoneware chosen for the interior finishes
A sanctuary in the heart of the French Alps, where you can take refuge and escape from the frenzy of daily life: Cristal Spa was founded with this goal.
Thespa is part of the Impérial Palacehotel, a historic hotel in a Belle Époque building that over the years has hosted figures such as Charlie Chaplin and Winston Churchill, and shares its atmosphere of refined luxury.
The 600-square-metre Cristal Spawas designed by architects Pierre Brunier, Michel Force and Marie Laure Marrel of the Espace & Resonance firm, experts ininterior design feng shui. The ancient Chinese discipline that studies spaces in relation to the positive influences of nature guided the design of the spa, offering guests an experience of pure wellness and relaxation.
The interiors of Cristal Spafeature a contemporary approach to feng shuiwith details specifically designed for every space.
The various private rooms for massages and treatments are characterized by a minimalist design, perfect lighting to ensure maximum comfort and ceilings decorated with reproductions of spa-themed frescoes that differ from room to room. However, the nucleus of the spa is the covered pool with a large glazed tub and a waterfall, furnished with Karim Rashid armchairs that evoke futuristic atmospheres.
Marazzi’s Mystone Pietra di Vals stone-look stoneware, with its natural, yet contemporary style, is the material used to finish the new spa’s indoor flooring and wall coverings.
The floor was covered with Mystone Pietra di Vals Grigio in the 30x60 cm size with a structured surface to prevent slipping; the pool was covered with Mystone Pietra di Vals Antracite in a darker finish than that of the floor in order to accentuate its volume.
The natural look of the stoneis also reproduced on the walls with Mystone Pietra di Vals for the 30x60 cm mosaic covering.
