Milan Design Week: the Marazzi events
reading time: 3 minutes

The Allmarble, Materika and Triennale collections star in Fuorisalone special events with top partners
‘Le vie del Compasso d’Oro’ (“Compasso d'Oro Trails”) take in Via Borgogna 2, where Marazzi presents its new ceramic and stoneware collections as part of the prestigious itinerary organised by the ADI Industrial Design Association to mark the XXI Milan International Exhibition: a map of Milan featuring companies, design firms, galleries and museums linked to the history of design, where visitors can explore the products which have won or been selected to compete for the Compasso d’Oro award.
At the Marazzi showroom on Via Borgogna, Soho, Honourable Mention for the Compasso d’Oro 2011 and Materika, ADI Ceramics Design Award 2015, dialogue with the new Allmarble collection, which interprets the choicest marbles in technical stoneware.
At the same time, Marazzi’s Materika collection will be appearing in Rose Quartz and Blue Serenity, the colours chosen by Domus magazine to celebrate its 1000th issue, in shop windows overlooking Piazza Duomo and Via Mazzini. ‘Tribute to Domus Mille’ is a project that brings together leading companies in Italian design, asking them to create an object from their ranges in the Pantone colours of the year. Marazzi has chosen Materika 3D for Rose Quartz and Materika ‘4 curves tile’ for Blue Serenity in a dual tribute to Domus and its founder, Gio Ponti, who joined forces with Rosselli to design the Triennale ‘4 curves tile’ in 1960.
Triennale by Marazzi also stars in Soft Home, the interior design project created by Elle Decor at Palazzo Bovara, Corso Venezia 51. In the neoclassical interiors of the Palazzo, Triennale, in Sage, Ginger and Indaco, a special slimline gloss-finish ceramic tile project (Essenziale collection), will provide the coverings for the “Bagno Lezioso” (“Dainty Bathroom”), an ideal place for pampering oneself and building up positive energy for the whole day, while the Materika and SistemC collections will decorate the “Ringing Gallery”, a creative space where materials become musical instruments with which visitors can interact.
