Marazzi in Tokyo for a dialogue with architecture professionals
reading time: 1 minute

140 architects and designers attended the event at the Peninsula Hotel.
In the attractive setting of the Peninsula Hotel in Tokyo, Marazzi met more than 140 architecture professionals to discuss the relationship between ceramic coverings and the building design world. The event centred on the new Mystone stone-effect – Ardesia, Bluestone and Lavagna – and the Allmarble marble-effect stonewares, which received an enthusiastic reception from the audience.
The first part of the conference focused on the history of Marazzi and how an Italian ceramic covering product is born, before moving on to the presentation of a series of projects constructed in Japan by the architects Yukio Hashimoto and Ryu Kosaka, for which several of our collections were included in the specifications. The second part of the event consisted of a fascinating round table discussion on topics linked to design and architecture, again headed by Hashimoto and Kosaka together with Shunji Kawase, a leading personality on the Tokyo design and architecture scene.
Photographs of the evening can be seen in the gallery.
