Marazzi opens a new chapter in the relationship between culture and ceramic: historic pictures from its photography archive will be exhibited at its Paris showroom on the Boulevard Saint Germain from 15 November.
Housed on the first floor of the Hausmann-era building, the exhibition is divided into three rooms which cover different approaches to ceramic and the company’s history. The exhibition starts with the windows, which display photographs taken in the ‘80s by two American photographers, Charles H. Traub and Cuchi White.
In the first room, Gianni Berengo Gardin investigates the factory and production operations, in the second Andrea Ferrari concentrates on ceramic and its interaction with light, while in the third room Luigi Ghirri adopts a playful approach and conjures up moods suspended in time.
The Paris showroom is continuing to establish itself not only as an exhibition space, but also and above all as a place with a versatile approach that fuses design, architecture, music and art.
