Marazzi at KBB Birmingham 2020
reading time: 3 minutes

From 1 to 4 March, Marazzi’s new ceramic and stoneware products will be on show at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) in Birmingham.
Marazzi is attending KBB, Europe's top show for kitchen, bathroom and bedroom product innovations, held in Birmingham, for the first time.
In the centre of the stand are a multi-purpose counter - kitchen and reception desk - and a bathroom installation created entirely using slabs of Marazzi The Top stoneware, the new project specifically developed for creating tops, backsplashes, tables and endless tailor-made options for residential and commercial spaces. The exhibition space is completed by Vero, the new Marazzi wood-look porcelain stoneware providing an incredibly realistic natural oak effect, and Crogiolo Lume, the stoneware collection that reinterprets the beauty of handmade majolica tiles, in the new 6x24 cm size, which in 2019 won the award for best design product in the competition held by Archiproducts, the international architecture and design community.
The exhibition space, designed by Studio Marco Acerbis, combines new uses of stoneware with the new tactile allure and expressiveness of ceramic material. As Marco Acerbis puts it: “We were struck by the particularly long, narrow rectangular shape of the stand, and this immediately became a strong keynote of our design. The counter, with its almost obsessive use of porcelain stoneware slabs, which creates the impression of a monolithic mass, faces the main entrance. And it is from this entrance area that the project extends along spatial lines that run right through the whole stand, in an unbroken sequence. While the kitchen is portrayed as the home's distinctive, striking heart, the bathroom space is defined by the visual dialogue between the floor and wall covering materials. Space is used to create similarities and contrasts, enriching the stand's visuals and underlining the widely varying potentials available from the use of porcelain stoneware.”
Marazzi is at Stand M100 at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) in Birmingham.
