KBB Birmingham Marazzi wins best stand - 1

The jury gave full marks to the stand's original design by Marco Acerbis

The Marazzi stand, designed by architect Marco Acerbis for the KBB exhibition at Birmingham (UK), the number one European show for innovation in kitchen, bathroom and bedroom products, won the “Best Kitchen Stand Award” prize.

The jury especially appreciated the novel design, which showcased the various uses of the large porcelain stoneware slabs made with the Group's exclusive advanced technologies. As Marco Acerbis says: “Space is used to create similarities and contrasts, enriching the stand's visuals and underlining the widely varying potentials available from the use of porcelain stoneware.”

The central focus points of the stand are a sophisticated 3D shape composed of two modules – the larger one simulating a kitchen worktop, the smaller a reception desk - and an elegant bathroom furnished entirely in Marazzi The Top marble effect porcelain stoneware, a new collection for worktops, backsplashes, tables and an unlimited variety of tailormade solutions for residential and commercial applications.

The stand's walls are covered with large lightweight Marazzi Grande Marble Look porcelain stoneware slabs, and with Crogiolo Lume, a collection which reinterprets the beauty of handmade maiolica bricks in porcelain stoneware, with their dense, high gloss glaze, full of attractive imperfections. The floor is covered with the Vero collection, a perfect porcelain stoneware recreation of large natural oak planks, and extra-large Grande Marble Look Ghiara Minuta Mix slabs, a re-interpretation of Venetian Terrazzo with a coloured marble grit which gives the porcelain stoneware a highly original style.
