Marazzi: Grande Concrete Look, concrete effect slabs for absolutely seamless solutions
reading time: 3 minutes

Elegant, functional concrete-look porcelain stoneware in the 120x240 cm and 120x120 cm sizes
It was back in 1917 that Pier Luigi Nervi patented a "cement conglomerate reinforced by metal elements evenly distributed within the mix”. A stroke of genius by an engineer who was just 26 years old at the time, but above all a symbolic event, marking the start of the Twentieth Century's love affair with reinforced concrete.
Immediately signifying an inseparable bond between form and technology, experimentation and image, concrete became the emblem of modernity in architecture.
Over time, technological research, new patents and ground-breaking artistic inputs have reassessed concrete's traditional image and invented new possibilities for this material, assisted by the latest digital technologies.
During the last few years there has been a fascinating reinterpretation of concrete for interior design, and it has become the ideal material for creating interiors with a high-tech air. Elegant yet functional, it emphasises the aesthetics of contemporary architecture while also bringing personality to the most classical styles, thanks to its distinctive austerity and simplicity.
Marazzi evokes the characteristic unbroken surfaces of concrete in its new Grande Concrete Look porcelain stoneware collection.
The new, perfectly squared 120x240 cm and 120x120 cm sizes are ideal for seamless installations that express all the tactile appeal of concrete with the greatest possible intensity. The range of neutral and natural colours, in five shades with subtle variations in tone, responds effectively to the most widely differing architectural and stylistic needs of residential and contract projects, including restaurants and stores, with anti-slip properties that also enable the material's use in public locations.
Grande Concrete Look belongs to the new Marazzi Grande line, also available in the marble effect version, developed to explore new frontiers in porcelain stoneware surfaces and to expand design and customisation possibilities with an incredibly versatile, resistant material that is even lightweight, thanks to its thickness of just 6 mm. Grande opens the way to a new generation of porcelain stoneware slabs, ideal for covering horizontal and vertical flat surfaces, from design features to the façades of buildings, both indoors and outdoors, and creating infinite solutions, with capability for tailor-made features such as custom cutting and shaping, laser decorations and customised mosaics.
