Material and colour are the protagonists of this ceramic project which creatively takes its inspiration from the purity of the materials and the harmony of the natural colours. ConCreta embraces the latest trends in design solutions and interprets them in a more modern and innovative way. Thus, starting from identifying materials that can be attributable to clays and mineral cements of new generation, the intent was to recreate a surface that was comfortable, warm, with an almost “silky to the touch” effect, and suitable to be used as base tiles in spaces aspiring to convey natural suggestions. The use of white body wall tiles and Marazzi’s experience in digital ink jet printing have allow the project to create these surfaces that are soft, slightly textured, and with a gentle “ironed effect” that evokes moulded clay.
The refined personality of ConCreta is also evident in the range of available and combinable colours which include soft, neutral and natural hues (Bianco, Sabbia, Creta, Lava, and Coke) in addition to two more refined tones (Blu and Verde). ConCreta is a collection of elements in line with current interior design trends. They can adapt to contemporary styles that are minimal and essential as well as those that are more intimate and charming. They will fully express the decor of a wide variety of residential and public spaces.
The ceramic collection offers an aesthetic conceptuality that is boosted by the presence of decorative elements and solutions that further enhance the surface, reinterpreting themes relating to nature and the reactions triggered by time and elements. Thus, here are geometric shapes (hexagons, lines, rectangles) that appear to emerge from the material itself, or floral patterns, or mosaics and decorations embellished by applications of shiny and metallic elements suggesting again glossy and oxidized effects with iridescent shades that enhance the tone on tone characteristic of ConCreta tiles.
