Specialist kitchen dealers, trade cooperatives, large stores and designers and architects from Germany and the adjoining countries come together at the Küchenmeile, the “kitchen mile”, in Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. The name derives from the zone itself, home to thirty or so producers all based within about a mile of each other, who make up the A30 Küchenmeile e.V. association and account for about two thirds of the German fitted kitchen market. The Küchenmeile district and area30, the exhibition and marketplace specialising in kitchen design and technology, provide those working in the sector with insight into the latest trends in kitchen furniture, appliances, sinks and accessories.
