The total look concrete effect: a trendy option

Appeal, the new collection for covering floors and walls with all the beauty of concrete

One of the most current trends in modern interior design is to use the same finish for the floor and walls, for an effect that is minimalist, yet has a striking aesthetic impact.

There are many compositional approaches to the choice of coverings: you can choose to create a contrasting effect between rooms, or between walls and floors, or you can use different finishes to emphasize certain areas such as the shower or sink area in bathrooms and kitchens.

However, there are many advantages to choosing a unique finish for the floor and walls, starting from the way in which it makes rooms visually larger (an effect further accentuated by painting the ceiling the same colour), as well as creating environments with a very contemporary design.

This compositional approach also enables you to choose furniture more freely, since you only have to match it with a single finish.

You can also opt for a total look effect by adopting the same wall and floor finish, playing with different sizes, surface finishes, decorations and mosaics with the same look.

For a completely contemporary result, a concrete-look finish is certainly an excellent solution, which can be matched, for example, with raw wood furniture for a rustic, but chic contrasting effect, or with black and white furniture for a truly graphic, clean result.

Marazzi’s new Appeal collection is very well-suited to this type of solution: inspired by concrete applied with a trowel, Appeal faithfully reproduces the beauty of hand-worked concrete. Available in five colours with colder and warmer shades of concrete and different sizes for the floor, Appeal also comes in the same colours with a three-dimensional rippled finish and different decorations and mosaics for the wall covering.
