tracing the history of the most significant works of Oscar Niemeyer – the Brazilian architect considered one of the masters of international modern architecture.
For Marazzi Group, involvement in an anthology exhibition on Niemeyer is a chance to contribute to the debate and consideration on the role of the architect/designer on the one hand, and manufacturers on the other, in promoting a mentality that encourages fine design and the excellence, and sees man, the environment and architecture as the main assets in improving quality of life.
The exhibition provides an over-view of Niemeyer’s work by presenting original sketches, drawings and models, as well as full-sized reproductions of some features of his architectural language, such as the use of dynamic forms and curves, luminosity and spatial fluidity, in a mingling of styles and materials.
This is an extremely successful combination of one of the world’s most representative architects and the Marazzi group, constantly at work to develop systems capable of expressing the new languages of modern architecture.
In the past, Marazzi Group has already sponsored seminars, events and congresses intended, like this exhibition, to encourage research and discussion aimed at achieving an architecture with the very best aesthetic and design qualities and the best ecosustainable performance, in terms of both the reduction of energy consumption and optimal compatibility with the environmental context.
